The Challenge
Misericordia di Vecchiano is a volunteer association active in its community since 2013, with dozens of volunteers involved in transport, assistance, and civil protection. Such varied activity needed a website able to clearly explain what the association does, how to request its services, and how to become a volunteer — while keeping an institutional yet welcoming tone, and a system that let staff update content and manage incoming contacts on their own, with no technical skills required.
The Solution
We built an Astro frontend organized around the association’s services (assistance, transport, civil protection) and its training programs for new volunteers, with a dedicated news section for updates and initiatives. Content and contacts coming from the site are managed through Directus, a headless CMS that gives the association’s staff full autonomy to update pages and news and follow up on incoming requests, without any technical intervention.
The Result
A clear online reference point both for people who need a service and for those looking to get involved as volunteers — supporting the association’s mission in its community, with a backend the staff can fully manage on their own.
